Ello Ello!

I’m Amy, a 20-something country bumpkin from the Cotswolds.

Having grown up in the countryside, I have a huge passion for the environment and making sure I appreciate every single part of it.

My Grandad has always told me stories of his hiking trips, I was in awe but my love for it didn’t kick in until much later. June of 2022, I went with my sister to the Swiss Alps, predominantly to see the mountains instead of climb them by foot. In a country that is so passionate about hiking, I realised those long walks that my Grandad went on could actually take me to some incredible places.

I bought my first pair of proper hiking boots in Feb of 2023 and I realised I didn’t have to endure the pain of blisters after every single walk…

From then on, my passion grew and now I can’t imagine a weekend that doesn’t involve some form of a long walk.

I created this blog to share with you my hiking routes, little trips away and any tips and tricks I’ve picked up along the way.
